Our beginner bonsai workshops are a fantastic way for groups of around 20+ attendees to bond, celebrate achievements, and unwind while getting creative with tiny trees.
Bonsai Bar is a pop-up bonsai class. You provide the space, and we provide the activity! Our public events are in breweries, taprooms, and cafes, but we can bring the workshop just about anywhere. Bring it to the office to switch out of work roles and dig in to something new together. Or let us add a little bit of green to your reception with an informal activation. Of course, we can also help secure space at one of our regular venues in your area, or come to an off-site venue of your choice.
Whether you’re planning corporate teambuilding, a bridal shower, a trade show, or an educational enrichment experience, we want to make your event fun and easy.

Our Flagship Workshop
Bonsai 101
The workshop that started it all! Bonsai Bar workshops are fun, inclusive, and beginner-friendly. Each 120 minute workshop includes expert instruction, high-quality trees, and all the necessary tools.
Workshops typically accommodate 20- 48 participants. Got a bigger group? We have even more options for you!
A little taste for bigger groups
Bite-Size Bonsai
Mame (pronounced mah-may) is Japanese for “bean”. Mame trees are mini bonsai that fit into the palm of your hand!
Designed for larger groups with time constraints, these workshops can be done in 30-60 minutes for groups of 30+ participants. We can also offer this as a walk-up activation for more informal events, gifting suites, wellness fairs, and more!
Remote team? We got you!
Remote and hybrid work has changed the game - but that doesn’t mean you can’t get tiny trees for your team!
We ship an individual DIY kit to each of your participants that has (almost) everything they need to take the class in their own space. They’ll have to provide their own scissors and prep their space to get a little messy, but the plant, pot, and all accessories are sent straight to their door. Our expert instructors can teach live from your HQ for in-person attendees, or broadcast from our studio for fully-remote teams.
We’ll coordinate with your in-house tech team to make sure the virtual experience runs smoothly, facilitating breakout sessions to ensure everyone gets personalized guidance. Whether it's a flagship workshop or a Bite-Size experience — we have it covered.
