🔱 The Bonsai Bar Tree Guarantee

One of the many things that sets Bonsai Bar apart from other inroads to becoming a bonsai master is our Tree Guarantee. Most people who try their hand at bonsai and hit some bumps in the road end up quitting! But we set you up for success with beginner-friendly tree species that can grow along with you. These tiny trees are so hardy that we guarantee you can keep yours alive, or we’ll replace it. Seriously.

The rules and Faqs

Sure do! There is no warranty on them that you can void by doing something wrong—we just need to take a look at the tree and talk a little bit about what led us here, so that we can make better choices in the future!

At Bonsai Bar, we believe everyone learning bonsai deserves a second chance—especially when they’re just starting out.

Our mission is to bring new people into the bonsai hobby with confidence and curiosity, not fear of failure. Trees can be tricky, and sometimes things don’t go perfectly the first time—and that’s okay.

We’re here to make sure that one tough experience doesn’t stop you from discovering how fun and rewarding bonsai can be. Life’s short, and this hobby has so much to offer. We’re good people, you’re good people, and we’re excited to have you growing with us.

No! We actually would prefer if you made a Tree-iage Appointment earlier rather than later, so that we can try and help you out before your tree passes on.

The first step in getting a replacement tree is to REGISTER YOUR TREE using the link on your care card when you first take the class - or as soon as you can! Then, if something is going wrong,  make a tree-iage appointment and talk to one of our expert teachers.

We strongly encourage you to make a Tree-aige Appointment BEFORE your tree is dead, so that we can try to course correct. But if it's just too late, make an appointment anyway, and bring your tree to tree-iage.

Yes! We need to take a look at the tree in our tree-iage session, to help us talk through what we think may have happened to it. Photos don’t cut it - we need the real deal, live and on camera!

Once you are approved for a replacement, you’ll tell your tree-iage consultant what venue and date is convenient for you to come to one of our classes in your region - it helps to have one in mind when going in!

We ask that you allow at least one week from the date of your tree-iage session so that we have time to prepare your new tree. Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin.

Nope! Just picking up a prepared tree and getting a few words of encouragement from our instructor.

Nope! You will receive an already potted tree from the instructor of the class you are picking up at. They may be potting it fresh upon your arrival, so please be patient! We do the potting, but the styling and creativity? That's still all yours!

Yes! Our guarantee even applies to our DIY kit! Just register your Beginner Level tree when you get it and make a tree-iage session if something goes wrong.

We’d love to say we do this just because it’s the right thing to do—and it is—but our Marketing Director is currently yelling from the back office that we’re a small, family-owned business and we also desperately need fresh Google reviews. So if you’re feeling generous and have a minute to toss a few kind words into the vast, echoing canyon that is Google, we’d be forever grateful. So here's the link to give us a nice review.
