Parrot's Beak (Gmelina philippensis) is an extraordinary round and spiny tropical evergreen tree native to the Philippine Islands, India and Southeast Asia. Its leaves have been compared to ivy or duck’s feet, but its common name comes from the tubular yellow flowers that resemble a parrot’s beak. This tree does best in full sunlight, and regular watering. DOES NOT TOLERATE DRY SOIL!
